Cookie Policy

Last updated August 2026 — RESOLVE added a cookie consent banner; see §2 and §5.

1. Strictly necessary cookies

RESOLVE uses a strictly necessary session cookie, set by our authentication provider, Supabase Auth, when you sign in. It’s what keeps you logged in as you move between pages instead of re-entering your password on every screen, and it’s read only by RESOLVE — no one else. Without it, the platform doesn’t function, so it isn’t optional the way an analytics cookie is.

2. Analytics cookies

RESOLVE uses Google Tag Manager (GTM), on both this marketing site and the authenticated platform, to load analytics tags that measure how pages and features are used — page views, button clicks, and similar usage events (see the Privacy Policy §6 for what that data does and doesn’t include). Depending on which tags are active, this can set cookies from Google (for example, Google Analytics’ _ga cookie) in your browser. These cookies are non-essential: the platform works fully without them. RESOLVE ships Google’s Consent Mode with analytics storage set to denied by default, site-wide. A cookie consent banner asks every new visitor to Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or manage the choice directly; analytics storage is only switched to “granted” if you choose Accept All or turn Analytics on in Manage Preferences — it stays denied otherwise. Advertising cookies (ad_storage, ad_personalization) stay denied regardless of what you choose, because RESOLVE doesn’t run any ad or retargeting tag (see §3) that would use them.

3. What RESOLVE still does not use

RESOLVE does not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and does not run any ad pixel (Meta, Google Ads, or otherwise) today. If that changes, this page will be updated to name the specific tag before it ships — the same commitment that applied to analytics before this update.

4. Third-party cookies

Beyond the Google Tag Manager/Analytics cookies described in §2, RESOLVE does not embed any other third-party content (ad networks, social embeds) that would set its own cookies on this site.

5. Managing cookies

Change your analytics choice at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer — it reopens the same Accept All / Reject Non-Essential / Manage Preferences banner you saw on your first visit, with your current choice already reflected. Blocking the session cookie in your browser will simply sign you out. Blocking or clearing Google’s analytics cookies, or choosing Reject Non-Essential, has no effect on your ability to use RESOLVE — every feature works identically with or without them. You can also block them at the browser level (most browsers offer a setting to block third-party or all cookies from a specific site) or via a browser extension that blocks Google Analytics specifically.

6. Changes

This page was last updated when RESOLVE added a cookie consent banner (August 2026). If RESOLVE adds advertising/retargeting cookies or a new analytics vendor, this page will be updated to describe it accurately before it ships — not after.

Note: this reflects RESOLVE’s actual cookie usage as implemented today, verified directly against the codebase rather than assumed. See the Privacy Policy for how account data itself is handled.
